Finding The Best Blog Search Engine - 1: Which One Do You Use?

Since the time Google Blog Search surpassed Technorati, there has been a lot of buzz going on in the blogosphere about the search engines and which is the best available one. So be it Google Blog Search's simplicity, reliability and speed, Technorati's Top 100 or Sphere's featured blogs, all of them have something to offer. The question that arises is which one to use when we need to search the blogosphere. In our quest for the best blog search engine, we will analyze various factors like result popularity, result relevance, speed, value added tools etc.

Let's first have a look at some of the blog search engines available in the market. I am sure even the most active people in the blogosphere will not be knowing few of them because of the sheer number of alternatives available in the market.

1. Technorati
2. Google Blog Search
3. Sphere
4. Bloglines
5. IceRocket
6. Bloogz
7. Blogwise
8. BlogPulse
9. BlogDigger
10. WayPath
11. Findory
12. PubSub
13. Feedster

These are the few which I could find; you may share with us if I have missed out on any.

Now comes the first poll of the series. Please select the search engine that you prefer using while looking out for blogs.

Your response will be used for analysis which will be shared in the coming parts of this series. Do not forget to check it out.
